First Direct Savings Incentive - Paid?

Did anyone open a First Direct Savings account hoping to take advantage of their incentive which they advertised would be paid if the account balance was over £500 on the 31 Oct?

Has anyone had their incentive paid? I ensured my account balance was 501 on the said day to ensure this would be paid. As yet, nothing. Have just mailed them for advice.

Were the terms I missed?!

I've taken up on ther First Direct offers and they have always paid the incentive - I've never had to call 'em to chase it.

Had a response from First Direct saying the incentive is only payable for new customers. This is interesting, since I distinctly remember being offered the incentive as an electronic message when logged into the account. Has anyone else received this, or do I not remember correctly?

I've also had an offer like this from First Direct.

But it was thorugh the post. Again I was all ready a First Direct customer and the offer stated that I would get something like £25 if I opened a Savings account and had a min' balance of £500 by a certain date......
