When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Anyway today i have/will
Welcome to any new posters:D and hi to all the regulars:hello: :hello: :hello: Hope Andan is having an enjoyable time on her course this weekend. Will be quiet without her input.

NSD as staying inside, money is very very tight, so not worth going out and risking spending the smallest amount.
But have got 2 dvds to watch from my free 3 mths.
Bit boring, but heyMummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -

 morning sophiesmum and all
gorgeous day here today... been out on my roof terrace with the tomatoes, they're looking good, can't wait for the glut! and growing spinach and chillies too... never thought I'd get so into it!
OK...
Today I have- not spent anything (but after seeing the SATC film last night I am surpressing long-buried designer shopaholic tendencies so this means more than it normally does)
- update my sheet
- try and have a storecupboard lunch but think i need bread
- have dinner and drinks at home with my old flatmate so we don't spend much out tonight for a 30th birthday and we've agreed we'll leave at 11.30 so we can get public transport home (free for me
cos I have an annual travelcard) - She's also bringing books down for me to read, so that's nice! Incliding the new Marian Keyes
- Have a relist of amazon things
- Do some washing on 30
- send my credit card charges follow up (or at least get ready for printing)
- Do that wine order if my tesco double-ups arive

Byeee

Morning guys
Am just up, and today I:
* will hang the washing outside and not use the tumble
* am waiting in for tesco delivery to arrive
* have done a little bit of cleaning
* have checked online banking
* will do my timesheets to make sure I get paid the right number of hours (wages have messed up for the last 4 months!)
* am working from home today for a few hours
:heartpuls CG :heartpulsEver wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0 -

It's lovely! All sunny out there today, and just found my first tomato plant flower, waaaaay too excited about it
It is funny watering your plants within earshot of battersea power station... good job it's not operational any more or I don't think I'd be eating anything grown in South London! :eek:0 -
Does not going to the Glasgow meet because I found out about it too late to buy the advance saver rail tickets count?
Will spend the day gardening then putting Avon brochures into new doors to try and get some more customers instead.
Edit: forgot about the washing hanging up outside too.The person who moves a mountain begins by carrying small stones.
