Noticed today that the Aldershot store now has a scanner within the ladies clothing section. Can't help with how hot they are with sel though.

Southend on sea branch along the A127 at Prince Avenue
Essex.

Just had a refurb and a shop expansion.

Have seen 2 points and I may have a seen a possible 3rd in the same store.

Not quite sure on the 3rd.

None have the scanner connected yet.

Will update soon as I know where they are in store.

Still getting lost in store at present, not still sure where the hell everything is yet :rotfl: :rotfl:

Worse thing is now our local Asdas' is getting a refurb, can't find a thing in there either. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

A perfect way of getting thin without going on a diet, not being able to find the food in the first place!

No wonder they ae all suddenly going "out of order" and/or removed.

It is pathetic people who go round searching for SEL mis-prices who have caused this. The people who search for these mistakes just to get a R+R are killing the R+R system. Soon companies will just be like whatever, and give you the difference and that is it.

Don't you people understand this. You lot are the lot who are going to kill companies good will gestures. And you lot will be the first moaning when they do.

Well thats strange, I've revisited my local Tesco for my weekly shop Friday and the Southend on sea branch along the A127 at Prince Avenue Essex has just had 3 brand new scanners put in. Only had 1 before the upgrade.

I've been to their branch at Pitsea, which is a LARGER Tesco Extra, they only have 2 scanners in the store.

Is it the possibility that reason they are removing or not repairing these units, is because of the massive country wide store updating they are doing? Why put in a new version if they are going to rewire, move, update the whole shop again.

The new units are a smaller grey version, with a blue LCD screen. They not the old bulky blue type. They are also on a red barber strip board with I think "Check the price" written on it. Cannot be missed!!

Where they are situated in my store.

1/ Left side of store. walk in the main door and walk straight down the isle in front of you, to your left , scanner is on end of 7th isle from main door,.

2/ In the clothes section, end of one rack, just up from the fitting room. further into the store,

3/ End of row 23 middle walkway isle end. Toilet rolls are in this section.

They are all currently working!!!!

Surrey Quays - one on a pillar where the clothes section ends and the food starts. Another on the till side of the pharmacy department - stand in front of the pharmacy and look left. Neither work though.

Nothing in Bromley by Bow - the girl I asked was astonished when I explained what they were :rotfl:

Old Kent Road - one on Aisle 5 with the tinned veg but doesn't work.
Another in the middle of the clothing/ toys/ electrical section on the main aisle running through it. That one works.

Haven't found any in the City of London stores but they all have self scan tills.
