Tesco Price Scanner Location

When you are shopping in Tescos, you can take items up to the scanners and scan them yourself to find out what price they will actually scan for through the tills, handy if there isnt a price on something.

What do these scanners look like? Won't Sales Assistants tell you where they are in the store if you ask? Are they well hidden?

Thank you bernesemad but what is the point of using these scanners? How can you save money by checking a price, please?

Scanners are white m/c's about 10x6x8 inches wide,usually found on a pillar in the isle mentioned. There are 2 more at Coventry Arena besides the one mentioned which is still not working.One in isle 30 by tissues and another in clothing dept. behind jewelry counter

Are these scanners okay for customers to use, or are they really just for staff to check prices on?

Yeah they're ok for customers to use! Make use of them.
The point of these scanners is that if you think the price on the shelf is NOT going to be the one you will be charged you can check it out using the scanner.
If you then see that the price is higher than the shelf/label/sticker price you are going to be overcharged, and thus liable for the item free with a full refund in accordance with the Tesco policy.

can someone update the Bedford Goldington Road location.
The one by the clothes department no longer exists as theyve moved the clothes department and swapped it for the pharmacy.
the one in ailse nine doesnt work at the moment either :-(

So are you saying that there is now only 1 price checker and this is broken, yeah?
If so i've made the amendment.

Ilkeston store:The scanner situated in the clothing section is no more,the store is undergoing a major re-fit(new upper floor,etc).
