Is that £10.00 to each or £10.00 between them?I am supposed to be paying £10 a month to 4 different companiesClick here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.

I am sure you are right and I certainly do hope it can get sorted, but I really am struggling right now to see how I can ever get out of this mess.

My daughter is even paying my gas for me every week for now just to help me out. That is embarrassing. Aren't we as parents supposed to do the looking after.
Meh! I guess I am just on a downer! Sorry I don't feel very positive about it all at the moment.0 -
That is £10 to each and I just remembered there is another company I am supposed to be paying the same to. Then there is TV license payments I am behind as well as trying to buy food and electricity.0

Have you ever met anyone who's happy dealing with debt?Meh! I guess I am just on a downer! Sorry I don't feel very positive about it all at the moment.
This forum is full of members who's life has been destroyed by debt, however, one they've sorted their debts out, they've posted how managing their debts has turned their lives around.
It takes time and patience, you'll get there, just take each step slowly.
For an inspiration, take a look at any members thread tilted "My debt dairy" it's makes very encouraging reading.Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.

OK, what you have to do is sort out your PRIORITY debts, and NON priority debts. That is £10 to each and I just remembered there is another company I am supposed to be paying the same to. Then there is TV license payments I am behind as well as trying to buy food and electricity.
PRIORITY debts: Rent / Gas / Electric / Water / Council Tax / any CCJ / Court Order / TV Licence.
Those listed above MUST BE PAID
Non priority debts: Loans / Overdrafts / CC / Entertainment /
These are paid from what you have left once your priority debts are paid, so, IMHO I would only be paying £2.00 per month to each creditor, until your financies improve.Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.

I asked the CC company a while back if they would accept £1 token payment they refused but stopped adding interest. I don't have any CCJ's or Court Orders (yet) so I suppose that is a good thing. I dont have any loans, but do have an OD which is one of the phone calls I am avoiding at the moment.
The problem is all those things you list that I must pay, I just don't have the money for. That's where the problem lies. Even if I sign on again (which I WILL see about doing) I am then only getting about £60 a week.
Hopefully I will find a job soon to at least then be able to pay them the minimum £10 payments they all want but until then I am stuck.
Thank you for the words of comfort though, it does help just having someone listen.

Just really wanted to second what all the others have said.
Try to post an SOA (statement of affairs) and hopefully we may have a few suggestions. My first would be to see about signing on. If you are no longer in emplyment should you still be recieving working tax credit? Not 100% sure on that one, maybe someone else will know.
What Im trying to say is take small steps. Set yourself a goal for this weekend to post your SOA. Then maybe another, like maybe by Wednesday to have made enquiries or an appointment to sign on again. I know I find it helps me to make a list of things I need to do on one page and then on a new page write them down as I acomplish them. Think how great it will feel if by this time next week you can post one or two things you have achieved during the week. Like I said small steps.
Anyway, you know there is always someone around to chat to, please please keep posting either on here or feel free to pm me. I am a relative newbie but can always lend an ear

When you post your SOA, it will give us a better indication of your I&E.The problem is all those things you list that I must pay, I just don't have the money for.Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.

I think I can still receive working tax credit, I was receiving that and getting about £25 every week from the DSS before I stopped signing on. They would have said if I wasn't entitled to it surely?
I shall do my best to get my SOA done over the weekend though, but like I said I get £46 a week, that is the only income I have with I reckon probably around 10,000 worth of debt.
That is the most frightening part for me, actually finding out how much I owe!
Thanks for the supposrt
