How Do You Work Out The Seasons.

I always work out the seasons by every 3 months...
12 months in the year
4 seasons
3 months each
but on the tele the other day the weatherman said something about it being the first day of summer
well I beg to differ...
21st December - 21st March is Winter to me...
21st March - 21st June is Spring to me...
21st June - 21st September is Summer to me...
and
21st September - 21st December is Autumn to me...
since it is only the 6th June how can a weatherman say its Summer...

how do you work out your seasons ...:D

It's winter when the clocks go back.

Spring starts any time in February (I'm naturally optimistic!)

Summer may be deferred, but usually starts in early May - whenever I can leave my vest off really.

Autumn?....oh about a month before winter!

I go on plants and the temperature-
Spring starts when there are visible buds on the trees.

Autumn starts when the leaves drop of the trees

Summer starts any time in May when the temperature is over 17 degrees that's when I don't need to take a coat/jacket with me in the early morning and don't freeze.

Winter starts when the temperature drops about 6 degrees. This means at the moment its started about the second week in December. A few years ago it was starting in November........
