abbey cash/pay in machine problem

Hi guys,
i hope it is the right place to post this kind of questions.
Today, i paid in at abbey branch using their pay in machine. i followed the instructions on the screen and deposited cash in an envelop. at the end the machine said my request was cancelled but did not return my deposited cash. no receipt!
i contacted a member of staff to sort that out. they did not know anything about that and told me that they would take my details and contact me on monday. i had to leave my cash there without anything and i checked my account it says the transaction was reversed! how? i paid in and now no cash no transaciot.
Has anyone come accross this kind of situation. please let me be worry free till monday!
thanks

The total amount of money in the machine will be reconciled with the recorded deposits, and it will be obvious that your money is there, but not recorded. Don't worry. They will correct the mistake on Monday.
  • thanks Mark. hope to get better on monday.
