as above guys lol

the wireless on my livebox ( 3rd one ) is crap I cant even get coverage get 6 metres through cardboard walls ( new build ) let alone 15 metres down the garden from my livebox sitting on the window ledge, my connection is 6-7MB though ;)

this has become problematic as i have a Orange Unique mobile ( www.orange.co.uk/unique ) in the form of a Nokia 6301 but I have not seen bills for 3 months as every bill has to be sent for recalculation due to UNIQUE calls not connecting to my livebox, calls are checked by technical I was infact via co-ordinates between Orange towers at home near my livebox before the bill can be sent to another department to be credited, my bill at the moment is 680.00 and im due 60.00 thats how bad its getting, being charged international rates for calls that are meant to be free !!!!

so I hear I can get a router to " repeat " the orange wireless ( i need my orange 2nd line as its my business number so getting rid of livebox is not a option ) and maybe flash with dd-wrt

im all new to routers ( i believe the livebox is 1 but thats plug in and sorted itself )

can anyone advise me of this "repeating" process and a cheapo router to do so as I will be sending the reciept off to Orange for reimbursment , well this technical checking & bill recalculation is a waste of my and Orange employee time, id rather just address the issue and bill Orange the router cost

thanks in advance anyone :)

What you are describing is a wireless access point - not a router. I'm not sure how the phone thing works though. Is it not possible to move the Livebox to a more central location?

I'm not sure the Unique phone will worth with any router other than the wireless on the Livebox.
