Off topic, as my couple of other previous posts have been; but I'm looking for some help and advice.

I know after 35 years of going through depression I should be an expert but I'm not.

Each time seems to get worse than the last and this present one seems to be getting loads more stuff piled on top.

What I would like to know is how do you all cope with the day to day stuff?

I struggle to get out of bed and then to get showered and dressed, all I want to do is sleep and that's what I did yesterday. My weight is increasing at an alarming rate, my house looks like an episode of How Clean Is Your House? and when the door bell rings I'm not sure if I want it to be Kim and Aggie or not.

I don't work and am struggling to find anything suitable to apply for owing not only to my depression but also to my lower back problem. I constantly worry about money though I'm MF and always have been and also have savings. I know that I am really lucky regarding this but it did take lots of hard work.

My relationships with people are getting quite strained, especially my OH, my family and what few friends I have left - well one friend.

Any suggestions however small or silly they may seem please impart them, I need to start living my life a little.

    A x

PS It's really nice to see everyone's pets.

One thing at a time - and try not to beat yourself up too much about the remaining list.

Girls are gonna love the way I toss my hair. Boys are gonna hate the way I seem.

I'm back, got to the gym eventually! It was a bit of a nightmare though, took Marc and he just wanted to go home every 5 mins! :rotfl: Makes it very hard when I don't even want to be there in the first place!!!

How's the hair Shaz? Did the car pass?

I've had my dinner, and now sitting with a coffee!

    How's everyone tonight?

LM - I hope the urges aren't too bad this evening? Thanks for the info about Mind, I'll look into popping along to the drop in session near me. Well done on sending the Text. Hope it all works out okay. Can't help about eyebrow waxing, had my legs done once - never again! Hows the junk room going? I've moved all my junk from one room to another, really need to do something about it!

Kentish - you kitties sound so lovely! Animals are great at picking up how we are feeling aren't they? My last rabbit would sit on my lap for hours while I just cried. Hope you are okay this evening xx

Diamond - ((Hugs)) Glad you are feeling better, even if just a little bit. Hopefully it will continue and you'll be feeling alright soon. Was the park nice? Its been lovely all day here, hope you had plenty of sunshine.

Contains Mild peril - Hello Stranger! How are you? ((Hugs))

QB - I didn't know that about the nose, very interesting! I always thought it was a bit of an odd looking plane. You interested in planes? I love AirCrash Investigation, which probably isn't the best thing to watch when have to fly sometimes!

Gillette - You are just jealous of the fluffy bunny! You don't need to be, we know you are a fluffy Badger really :)

Alba - I was thinking today about how we are half way through the year! The speed time goes by is terrifying isn't it! Well done on Gyming! I don't 'get' exercise. I'd rather lie on the sofa with a tub of icecream! Hope you are good :) I'm hoping something will 'click' with me and I'll overcome my Eating Disorder. Fingers crossed!

Chollita - Hope kitty will be settled in his new home soon. I keep browsing the RSPCA website, I'm in a rented house so I really shouldn't, I'd just love a cat.

Shaz - How are you feeling tonight sweetie? Got fingers and toes crossed for your MOT. Cars are expensive sometimes aren't they! How is your new haircut?

Steph - How are your ankles this evening? Are they itchy? You can always phone NHS Direct to ask advice (08454647)

Curled - ((Hugs)) "How do you all cope with the day to day stuff?" - my honest answer is I don't! Although I am getting better. One thing I've learnt is to prioritise. Washing Up and laundry are important. Vacuuming and dusting aren't. I 'cut corners' wherever possible to make things easier - ready made mash, reusing plates if they only have crumbs on they, only using one glass or teacup during the day. I can't help with the weight issue - I'm almost back at my heavist weight, and its not getting any better. I'm a compulsive overeater/bulimic, and its a real struggle. I find friendships difficult, but I find that if I maintain them in 'my' way it is easier. I don't see or phone people often, but keep in touch via text and email. I can't work (I claim Incapacity Benefit and Disability Living Allowance) so I can't offer any advice with that I'm afraid. Could the Job Centre or any charities help you to find something suitable? If you can't work, don't push yourself. I know challenging ourselves is a great thing to do, but if you aren't ready, you aren't ready. I'm sorry I couldn't be more help.

Glad you had a nice day Katie. I'm relaxing tonight too now! I thought I was in for the night, till Marc asked for a lift, so just dropped him off... I'm not moving off this seat again til bed time (unless it's urgent, of course ;) )

Hi Feelie, I'd rather the sofa and a tub of ice cream too, every time! I'm fine thanks. Had a weird sort of day. I can honesty say I tried everything to stop the compulsive eating and nothing ever worked. It really just stopped it's self in the end. I know I could easily slide right back in to it, but I have managed to keep it controlled... so far (most of the time) I am keeping everything crossed for you and hopefully yours will stop too.

I've never been married, so never needed a divorce! :D I'm sure lots of others have though! :D

    Just a quick question. :)

If I buy a train ticket online for say 10am on a certain day, does that mean I can only use that ticket at that time? e.g. if I am running late and get to the train station at 11am etc then I can't use the ticket?
