    Hi guys!:hello:
Well, here we are in thread home number 7 and our lovely sazzy got me thinking, (I've warned her of the dangers of that!biggrin.gif), about our thread birthday. So that's where I've been, back off down memory lane - it's been a ruddy long walk let me tell you!injured.gif
    And the news is good...
We won't actually be two years old until Purrsday 26th June - so we haven't missed it after all!!!:j :j :j(I think!rolleyes.gif)
At least I can say that I'm not quite the oldest poster here as, within our contemporary family, our wonderful rbk and miro both posted before I did!action-smiley-033.gifangel-smiley-002.gif
I didn't post until page 5 on the first thread home, so I refute any liability for pages 1 to 4.laughing-smiley-014.gif
Page 5 also included my first mention of the words that I still stand by today -'Be kind to yourself.'
Haven't we been through a lot in the last 2 years since tankgirl1 started this all off? Is that all it's been?
It has been a real soap opera of a ride, hasn't it guys? I always said that if I wrote down my story and sent it to the BBC, it'd be binned immediately as being too unbelievable. I know I'm not alone in that respect.sLo_grouphug.gif

When I think back over all our thread homes, there's been a constant stream of high drama, tragedy, hilarity, sad times, celebration, desperation, and yes, smarties too!wink.gif For people who generally feel that they're the only ones feeling the way they do, that no-one could understand, who feel alone and are struggling, who don't know where to turn next, this thread has been a blessing and a haven.

We've had birdies and a badgie and hammysters and w-a-g-g-y things - and even the odd feline too!:whistle:biggrin.gif We're even awaiting a wedding between our thread friend blinky after watching his relationship start and develop through his posts.action-smiley-033.gif Although there still remains an issue about the missing hat fund started between myself and another poster for this event - ISN'T THERE SAZZY?!biglaugh.gifsLo_hug2.gif
But what remains ever-evident amongst all these things, is the constantly wonderful, no-strings-attached, always someone listening or hugging, informative, understanding, patient, welcoming and compassionate support that you amazing survivors continue to provide to each other every day. The truly amazing thing about our thread is how often someone posts in despair and before they know it, they're returning and helping others!:T

Personally speaking, it's honestly been a privilege to have 'met' you all. Thank you for all you do - a little kindness goes a very long way.;) :A
    Be kind to yourself guys.sLo_hug2.gif

    Hi guys!:hello:
    Guess who?! giggle.gif

We really will have to organise ''The Depression Support Thread's Annual Outing.'' I recall thinking this was not one of my good ideas...will I never learn?!rolleyes.gifwink.gif

I know we're all over the place - in more ways than one for some of us!biggrin.gif I suggested it a while back but life kind of took over with me and mine. I thought at the time that a day in maybe mid-September (after all those with offspring have sent them back to school) and when everything stops costing summer-silly prices and when hopefully they'll have found a med that stops me from snarling at the public and rubbing against people's legs as I do on here! Actually, maybe we should consider Halloween in that case! laughing-smiley-014.gif

I remember rose asking about it being held in the south coast area possibly but I think, as someone else did, that maybe it ought to be a bit more central. London is an obvious option - always something to do and with plenty of people who don't know me!biggrin.gifrolleyes.gif Plus we could all crash at sazzy's if necessary!biggrin.gif I must mention that to her...giggle.gif
Of course truly central would be somewhere like Berrmingumm (phonetics!) up here in the Midlands.;)
Consideration also has to be paid to people's finances and health issues - so, speaking as a recovering agoraphobic, (amongst other things!), I'll meet you all at the bottom of my garden on Saturday, 27th September!rolleyes.giflaughing-smiley-014.gif

Failing that, maybe we could just have regional outings if it makes it easier and then post photos? Though sazzy's asbo covers 3 counties apparently, so we must take that into account too.:D Loves you muchly sazzy hun.sLo_hug2.gif
Of course, normal Depression Support Thread rules must still be observed...
    - everyone must wear blue, because we are and so that we'll be easily identifiable in public
    - no-one must enjoy themselves under any circumstances
    - and last but not least, all membership catnip fees should be paid to Tiffy well in advance!biggrin.gif
Answers on a postage stamp please guys...wink.gifsLo_hug2.gif

Hi Tiff, wow you can write! Hope you're ok and thanks for the shout!

Hi Katie, sorry you lacking in energy today, I'm away to look at the balloon race, sounds interesting. Don't forget to eat, it's easy to forget when energy is low, and you need to eat for strengh. take care, and hope you feel better very soon.

Anyone else around? What are your plans today? I've been to the gym this morning and feel sooo tired now! I better move my bum soon or i'll fall asleep. Have a nice day.

    A x

Went to see Pysch today. I don't like her, she isn't very friendly, and comes across as harsh. Will be glad when I don't have to see her again!

I'm changing the time I take my medication to try and help me not sleep for too long. Fingers crossed!

Walked home from Pysch, about 1.5 miles. Thats a huge amount when your legs barely work! Medication given me weak muscles, and sometimes I can't even climb the stairs.

Feeling okay today. I'm in control. I like that.

Okay guys, I'm beyond nervous. Today, at 5PM, I will find out the first stage of my results - whether I've done enough not to have to do another exam tomorrow  I'm so worried that I'll have too - it'll be horrible this evening and tomorrow if I do....
