Broken Seagate drive - how to return it without returning any data on it..?

    Doubt the technician would. However, if the hard drive is refurbed and sent to another customer without being properly wiped, files etc would be easily accessible. It's seen as good practice now to securely erase drives before passing them on - I'd like confirmation that this will happen if the drive is reused... I don't think this is unreasonable.
