Low water pressure please help!!!

hi, i phoned the water board the other day about the low water pressure that i have from the kitchen taps. they told me that i have good pressure coming in and will need to get a plumber to have a look at it.
the pressure for the upstairs taps is fine. the mains supply comes in just below the kitchen window i want to have a look myself but not sure where to start.
dont want to call a plumber out if i can get away with it as money is a little tight at the moment.

be grateful of any help and advice anyone can provide, cheers

Has it always been like this?
We lost a lot of 'flow' when fitting a new tap which was a 12mm [maybe 10mm?] from a 15mm [bought it from aldi] .... the hot tap is now a slow but steady trickle - used to be quite a good flow before.
The cold or mains is the same as it was before but you need to ensure that the stopcock for the mains is fully open.
Why are relacement mixer taps all nearly a smaller diameter than older style 15mm fittings?
Learn to laugh at yourself ... everyone else has:rotfl:

Depending on the type of kitchen tap you may find that you can unscrew the nozzle and that is probably blocked. There could be a small filter there.

I have the same problem and I just unscrew the outlet nozzle and clean it you dont even have to turn the water off.
