Now I am the proud owner of a bus pass that I can use anywhere in the UK I wanted to find out how far I could travel on the bus for free. Unlike the trains it seems there is no way of finding out all the connections needed to go from town to town across the country. Has anybody else discovered how to do this??

http://www.carlberry.co.uk/ can be a useful site - put in any town or village and it will list all the bus services there. With a lesser or greater (in some cases) amount of difficulty you can get to the timetables.
BTW you can't travel UK wide - only in England OR Wales OR Scotland - depending where you live.0
