New doors being fitted.

Hi all, I have decided to change the interior doors of my parents house. Looking at the doors it should not be too complicated to change as I image I will lay the old doors next to the new ones, mark up, chip away and off I go.
Any how I was wondering, the frames of all the3 doors will be white but the doors, a natural wood finish. Would it look weird to leave it like that or should I paint them.
Also I know I will have to seal the wood if I am painting, but what about if I want to varnish them?, will I still need to seal the doors.
Thanks in advance,
G.

If your walls are white then the white frames won't look odd. But if you've got a colour on your walls it might do.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

I replaced all the doors in my house with stained wood ones and had white gloss frames and skirtings – no problem, my walls I painted various warm colours in various rooms - didn’t look odd at all! My only problem was friends visiting would say it felt warm and inviting – was sometimes a job to get them to go home!!0

Just varnish them, no need to seal them, the varnish acts as a seal. Make sure you rub them down between each coat. If using quick drying varnish, make sure you prepare the doors properly 1st, I went to a friends house, who had just varnished 2 coats and the finish was rubbish, compared with oil based varnish.
If they were external, then seal them!! Im not so sure about your idea of laying the door on the floor marking the new ones and planing them tho!!In this trusted place U can erase
