Hi Guys and Gals,
I have been searching on the net and phoned a number of office suppliers as i am lloking for x4 19" widescreen anti-glare/radiation screens for our Dell monitors in the office. I previously purchased x2 from an office supplier who assured me the 20" one he supllied would fit, well kind of did, but it didnt cover the edges(as its a widescreen monitor) and just makes the monitor look unprofessional/eyesore.
Can anyone help as i have rang numerous suppliers and spent hours thrawling the net, they are all clueless as to if they exist, do they exist for widescreen LCD monitors? or can you offer any suggestions?
Any help appreciated.

Kensington make quite a few, I'm not sure if they fit widescreen monitors though - info at: http://uk.kensington.com/html/6858.html
Go to Amazon and search for "kensington anti-glare" for a huge listing.0 -
Just phoned Kensington offices and they said they dont do them, he says appears to be gap in the market for them, so doesnt look like they exist.....Anyone else know?0

One of the advantages of flat screen displays is that they have a matt finish to the viewing area, and as such scatter rather than reflect light falling on to them. In my experience antiglare filters only worked well with monochrome CRT displays. The mesh variety were fairly useless on colour monitors.
Maybe there are other problems in your office that need seeing two like the overhead lighting/windows.That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Only cheap anti-glare filters are made from mesh. I've never used a mesh one, and wouldn't recommend one, I can't really see what they can do, certainly not improve the screen.
Quality ones are made from polarising glass and all sorts of specialist glass (some similar to that from the Space Shuttle windows, if the marketing blurb is to be believed!).
I've used £100+ ones on older colour CRTs which were fantastic, I'd have never used a CRT without one, they alway reduced the radiation pouring from the screens back in the day too! In fact I think they were called "GlareGuard"...
Now I don't personally use on LCD but many people do. Also remember newer TFTs can be glossy today, not just matt.
Some offices with sensitive data use 3M data glare guards, which prevent anyone not on a close angle to the screen from reading the data displayed too.0
