appealing against a credit card rejection

hi everyone some of you may know that i lost my wife 4 years ago and i gain a ccj and two defaults i have thought about nothing else but fixing my credit file for the last few month now my life is as normal as it gets again i have just paid off in full my last outstanding debt from 2005 so ccj £100 PAID default £112 PAID default £186 PAID the only thing is im waiting for the £186 default and the ccj to show on my file as PAID i applied for two subprime cards last week and got refured later to have a no on this occasion should i appleal against the decisions once my file shows that these are paid and what do i write when i do appeal many thanks for any help in advance:o
