was considering a new home pc, but friend suggested getting a new laptop (up to about 450 pounds) and a screen and keyboard and plugging intro the laptop, so got benefit of home pc, bigger screen and full size keyboard but the practicality of laptop too.
Any recommendations? not really sure what im after, only use it for surfing and basic stuff, no high spec games or graphics etc just the usual
Thanks in advance
EDIT: Also after a good 500Gb or higher external hard drive, any recommendations or are they all pretty much the same?

The only problem with laptops is that they are more expensive than desktops for equivalent performance, and difficult to upgrade or repair... Oh, and if you get burgled a laptop will be easier to grab than a desktop...
Anyway, I wouldn't know which laptop or drive enclosure to recommend, but as far as keyboards go, I *love* the Microsoft Internet keyboard. I get RSI, so need something ergonomic, and the MS Internet keyboard is very nicely angled to minimise discomfort (although it's not specifically designed for people with RSI). I managed to pick up a brand new one on eBay for less than £9, and bought one for work too.0 -

Hi Here for all your requirements. I now prefer Logitec keyboards and mice. Samsung do a nice drive as well as good spec. monitors0
