Citibank O/D question

Options
I am thinking of asking citibank to extend my overdraft by £200 to tide me over as I've had lots of expenses to meet this month and am struggling. This will get me through a rough patch and then I'll hopefully be able to get back on the straight and narrow before Xmas.

I am concerned that asking for this will lead them to remove my whole overdraft. I have heard that this has happened to people at other banks - it might not be true but I wanted to check what the consensus is on this as I don't want to well and truly shoot myself in the foot and be left in a worse situation.

I am also cutting back in other areas to reduce the need to use this money but worry that I may need this to fallback on.

Thanks

If they decline to increase your OD limit then your existing limit should remain the same (at least until your next review date).
