HFO/Turnbull Rutherford Solicitors

Options
Filled in defence for court case with HFO/Turnbull Rutherford Solicitors couple of weeks ago.

My defence being

1) I'm paying off a £4,??? debt at £131 per month through PayPlan. Turnbull R. have details of my income and expenditure.

2) HFO did not send me details of when they took over and PayPlan were still paying Morgan Stanly up to 3 months ago so they didn't get details either.

I requested 6 weeks ago that HFO send statements as I don't know exactly what the amount was when they took over from Morgan Stanley (last October). Pay Plan amount outstanding and Turnbull R. amount outstanding do not match - by approx £800.

Over the past two months I have had heated discussions with a pr.. from Turnbull R. in one I was told that only £700 per month would be acceptable (dream on) and that my house could be repossessed to pay the outstanding balance - I know bull. (I mentioned this in my defence).

Now today I get a letter from Turnbull R. asking to resolve the matter before court.

How can we possibly resolve the matter when I'm paying as much as possible? Should I also go for it and ask for interest to be frozen?

What do you think?

Sorry to drone on but put it as simply as possible.
