Just click on the buttons to see what they do, that's what I did.

The forward arrow makes you move faster but uses your air. If you click on the map (at the right edge of the screen), you can see which direction you need to move to find the bonuses (rainbows, stars and air) and you move by clicking the up or down arrow. You can get an extra canister of air by asking someone to boost you 5 times.

The above should make sense if you have a click around ... honestly!

How do you collect the bonuses? There was a tank of air right in front of me just as I exited to the next site but I didn't get it.

mine have always just gone on automatically
