Barclays Premier late payment charges

I had a Barclays Premier charge card for a number of years and was charged
a late payment interest charge of 3% on the outstanding balance if the card
balance was not cleared on the due date. I want to find out if I would be able to claim back any or all of these charges as these charges were extortinate and essentially represent a late payment penalty charge rather than a genuine interest charge - since the Barclays Premier card is a charge card (where interest is not charged) rather a credit card where the interest charge is transparent. In this case are Barclays able to legally slap on such an arbitary charge? Any thoughts anybody?
