Lisbon is quite a compact city centre so 5 days is more than enough time to see all that you need to. It would also be worth investing in rail travel and visit the coast, particularly if you enjoy relaxing on a beach.
Be aware that Lisbon is VERY hilly, though there are plenty of suitable trams and buses0 -
Hi
When we stayed in Lisbon the hotel staff recommended getting the train to Sintra, a hillside town which was quite picturesque, we then got a bus from Sintra back down to Cascais on the coast then got the coastal train back to Lisbon. We had a lovely day.
Next time we may just get the train from Lisbon to Cascais and back as we would have liked to spend more time there. We had a lovely meal and stroll around the town and a drink in a nice bar overlooking the sea.0 -
Hi,
Glad to see you will be visiting Lisbon.
There was a lively discussion some time ago about Lisbon here:

and there are suggestions here as well: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=931043&highlight=lisbon
If you like the sun and beaches you can venture by car south of Lisbon to Alentejo and check out the coast there with great out of the beaten path beaches!
If you rent a car, check out Obidos, charming medieval town.
Sintra is an absolute must.
