Assuming pillar box red was a bad thing, from your previous posts.I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

!!!!!!! Samsung virtual surround sound system with DVD playing thingy has just keeled over - refused to spit out DVD after refusing to play it and it's just the last straw so it's going back this afternoon! (Bought from Costco so taking it back ain't a problem) - It's the last straw for DH as this is the 2nd one we've had and both had problems with the volume sticking and if you go to turn the volume up after first turning it on it just goes up as loud as it can and nothing you can do will stop it short of turning it off again! ARGH!
Looks like we'll be looking for new surround sound system this weekend

I have one i was going to stick on fleabay, it is not as good as a Samsung though. Mr.B, hates the surround sound being on when he is asleep, and considering that is usually from 8.30pm onwards..that's a lot of missed DVD veiwing pleasure. Had to put the old one back on.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Hi!!!
My car failed its MOT today
Got to take it to a friend on Monday and see if they can sort it, the emissions were too high and it needs some welding done
On the plus side, I'm £260 better off than I thought as I hadn't included something on my spreadsheet! Plus I had a minor victory over Alliance & Leicester yesterday with bank charges coz I had a good rant on the phone and got them all refunded
Other than that, it's the same old same old here .... loads of stress with my situation .... but I'm looking forward to some good company tonight

Hi all
Mixed day for me really, did speak to the bank earlier, they called to 'review my accounts' and I stopped them pre spiel and set out what I was and wasn't prepared to be offered (ie I don't want to pay for current account banking, I am about to move my credit card balance from you that is coming to the end of 0% to an alternative 0% card and unless something incredible has happened to the BoE interest rates overnight I can't see you being able to offer me a better rate on my loan as it is currently blah APR) the account manager simply said 'I will mark on your file that everything is fine' and that was that.
A year ago I would have been begging them for products to 'help' me out of debt - now I have an 'excellent' credit rating and am in control - yippeeeeee. Big thanks to MSE for that.
Now it is raining (which means I don't have to go round and water OH's garden this evening - result) but I did miss an exciting delivery of either some new saucepans and cutlery, or my piggy moneybox from pigsback - not sure which I am more excited about.
Anyhow, enough rambling about me, it looks like you lot are having a mixed bag of a day from the lovely to the blooming grrrrrrr. Hope everyone carries on having good days or ends up with good days. yay for the people that found they had more money than they thought and happy (slightly late) birthday I.£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

Welding - is it a Ford? I didn't think emissions could be fixed either
No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
emmissions can be fixed - it could need a cat or an airfilter change etc... it depends on how bad the problem is really...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
