Is It Cheaper To Do Laundry At Night
Hi, Sorry if this has already been asked, but I thought I once heard that it's more economical using your washer or dryer at night, or in the morning like now. 00:47, god am I still up?:rotfl:
Is that correct. I have nothing special on the money saving side for electric and gas. Our boiler is really, really old, and just use N Power for electric.
Is the tarif cheaper to wash at a certain time of the day.

If you have economy seven, then they have what's called a night rate where it's charged at a fraction of the day rate (for seven hours) however the daytime rate is dearer than that of a single rate tariff.It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... what about if you dont ? i take it that it would be the charge at the time , ie higher or lower ?0 -

If you don't have E7 then you pay the same rate no matter what time of the day.
That rate you pay would be lower than the E7 day rate, but higher than the E7 night rate.

It's only worth having E7 if you use >25% of your energy during the night (IE Storage heaters).
If not, it will cost you more on the whole!0
