bank account vs. credit card

Hi, I have an advantage gold account with Natwest.
recently applied for a credit card but got rejected. and now i want to close my current account with them. Will this affect adversely in my credit report? Can i just ask my other bank to just transfer the current account balance and direct debits from Natwest?

Yes your other bank should do this no problem. Sign a form and they do the rest. Why not ask natwest why they rejected you? especially having there paying account?

Whether or not you have ad gold doesn't change the outcome of applications for credit products!! It just means that if you are eligible for them you can get a discounted rate.
