Advise with my freezer please

it has got stuck tight to the carpet.
I've had my fridge/freezer sitting on a carpet for years, and once a year I de-frost it and move it out and hoover behind it without a problem.
Went to move it and it is stuck to the carpet, have looked underneath and I can see a build-up of ice from the bottom of the freezer sticking to the carpet, defrosted it but it is still stuck fast.
I know that you shoud always have a space underneath to let the air circulate, but I have never had a problem with it before, and feel that if I do nothing it will breakdown.
