Im applying for some credit cards for bt's and stuff but am trying to play the long game and wondering what deals i might get 6-12 months down the line from the different banks retention departments. Might be useful by then when Im debt free for stoozing?

Have you ever phoned a CC company intending to close your account then kept it because of something you were told or offered, and what was it?

What offers have you got on a credit card by phoning and telling them you want to close your account?

Personally, I've been offered nothing over the years that's warranted me keeping a card open over moving onto another.

Only ever been offer low-ish life of balance offers.. like 6%-7%.
