in Credit cards
hi all
like most credit card users im always on the lookout for a better deal but there comes a time when we have used up all the good cash back offers available.Ive had 4% from capital one 5% twice now with amex and what ever the cashback deal was with morgan stanley a while ago. Then i remembered id applied for a barclays platinum card almost a year ago on the hunch they were going to offer a 5% cashback deal.Unfortunatly this did not happen so i shelved the barclay platinum card until today when i realised that the amex deal was about to run out.
I remember reading possibly on this forum about people asking to cancel their cards as they were not happy with the offers available so i thought id give barclays a final chance.
Without even trying to use my charm cough cough on the very polite lady on the end of the line she offered me 3 months cashback @4% or 6 month cashback @ 3% and a max cashback limit of £50 a month,i took the latter and ran :j
so its probably been said before and will be again and again IF YOU DONT ASK YOU DONT GET....
based on a rough calculation over 6 month i should be £150 in pocket just using the card for normal shopping /expenses etc .
and as martin always says always pay back your cashback credit cards in full at the end of every month or something along them lines.

Maybe I should try that... I have a Barclaycard however it's a sub-prime Initial Visa... but since I've more recently been accepted for a "normal" card I am thinking about trying to convince Barclays to up their game a little! This thread has given me the inspiration, so thanks! You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.0
