Cheaper Sony Vaio??

My daughter is determined to have a PINK Sony Vaio. When we first looked they were about £599 - now we can't find one for less than £699 - presumably the new one is a higher spec?
She doesn't need anything fancy as she will only be surfing, downloading music and (hopefully) working on it so a lower spec one would be fine - but where to find the cheaper priced model?
Does anyone have any ideas?
