Premium Bonds - Bond Holders No v Bond Serial No

My DH has found an old premium bond with two serial numbers on it. When we have tried to look onto the NS&I site to see if he has won anything, it asks for the Holders number, but we only have the bond serial numbers. We had previously gone onto a web site that said someone with my DH's surname has won (he has an unusual surname so could be good odds!)

In addition, these were purchased for him as a child so we are unsure what address they would be registered under. We would like to get the address updated.

Any ideas on what we do?

They don't offer a facility to convert a Bond number into a Holder number .. for obvious security reasons. So treat it as a query on unclaimed prizes (and they should advise your Holder number in order you can then check monthly on their website) :
