EON Payments
Hi all a bit of advice if you can.... moved into new house 4 yrs ago, was with Powergen for elec (now EON) at their estimation was paying for elec by DD, could not find out who was providing my gas, went all round the houses, after asking Powergen repeatedly being told no - finally got a really helpful lady there who said actually, yes we do, and were alos charging u for 2 electric meters and sending bills to an address that doesnt exist !! Upshot being that we ended up with a credit for the mystery second electric meter that never existed but a whopping great bill for Gas. They tried to pressure us into gettin a pre-payment meter I said NO - your fault will have to come to some kind of arrangement, originally bill (as well as accruing bills) was over 1500.00. We have been struggling with the required payments of £195.00 per month whi9ch pays for our current usage plus money of the arrears - we currently now owe just over £800.00 but really cant afford the £195.00 per month - we both work but have 3 kids and this is killing us - what options do we have/if any? thanks

When did you get your first bill? From July 2007 the companies can only back bill for 1 year. From July 2006 it was 2 years. This applies if you have never had a bill from them previously.Self Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0

You would have to ask for a breakdown. As the rule was only agreed in July 06 I hope for your sake the bill came after July. If it was after you just have to remind them of the Regulators agreement. If they do not play ball then go to Energy watch. But remember if it was received before July you will be due to pay in full. I would though ask for a discount!Self Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0
