Virgin card - not happy with the insurance hard sell

Actually only a few special cards allow Money Transfers at Balance Transfer rates - this is known as a Super Balance Transfer (SBT) and cards that allow this include Egg, Egg Money, Post Office Card, Abbey Zero and any card administered by MBNA including the Virgin range of cards.
In addition MINT periodically issue Credit Card Cheques that can be paid into a Current Account at Balance Transfer rates. However this is the least satisfactory option because the cheques cannot be requested and you don't know precisely when they will drop through the letterbox.
So NickX, is it true that you can't immediately do an SBT with Mint as soon as you get it?
I notice it's listed as one of the SBT cards on the stoozing website.
http://www.stoozing.com/sbt.phpYou're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.0 -

Well I have never had a MINT card myself, but my understanding is that you cannot immediately SBT upon activation, but have to wait for these Credit Card Cheques to turn up, they cannot be requested so it is not an ideal option.0 -
