Low income - which cards are available?

in Credit cards
Hello
I have no debt but have never had a credit card (I'm 38). I've had a mortgage since I was 23 and never missed a payment so think my credit rating is probably ok - I have just applied for a copy of it.
I want at least two cards at the moment - one for cashback instead of using my debit card and one to start stoozing. I've applied for the egg money card in my husbands name as he has always had a credit card and always paid it off.
I stupidly applied for the Amex cashback card without looking into it properly and was turned down because I only work part time and earn about £8000 (since found out min. earnings for this is 20,000).
So which cards should I apply for - I don't want to apply for something not suitable and get turned down again in case it affects my credit card rating.
Lastly if my husband applied for an amex card now and added a card for me would this be accepted?
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks

Not really relevant to the OP since two of the three cards listed in that link require you to have held a credit card for 5 years (OP has never had one), and the other offers an APR of 34.9%...and no cashback or stoozing potential.
OP,
You may be better applying for cards that ask for 'household' income, rather than just your own. Check out the M&S &more card.0 -
Thanks I will look into the M&S and &more I think.0
