Just checking this is the best card for oversees spending ,more or less. It's just that I read a quote of this site from martin saying he had a Nationwide CREDIT card in his oversees wallet.

Both the Nationwide Credit Card and the Nationwide Debit Card (with the flexaccount) do not charge for foreign currency transactions.

This means the Credit Card is great for buying goods \ services abroad, however if you withdraw cash abroad, this will still start accruing interest straight away.

Therefore if you are looking to make cash withdrawals in foreign currencies, the best option is a Nationwide flexaccount with a Debit Card.

The Nationwide debit card gives just as good an exchange rate for purchases as the Nationwide credit card but (obviously) you have to have the money in your FlexAccount to cover those purchases before you leave the UK.

I have the Nationwide credit card for purchases and the Nationwide FlexAccount cash (not debit) card for cash withdrawals (which also gives an equivalent exchange rate).
