i posted months ago asking for opinions on kitchen style and design and its taken ages but its almost there, everything is working (sink, taps, gas hob, electric oven. here it is:

so what do you think?
i'm waiting for 2 doors to complete it. and i plan to get a full height fridge freezer to put at the end where the single height fridge currently is.
should i keep the walls white or add some colour?
overall, i've learned a fair bit doing it but ideally if i needed a kitchen doing in the future, in my own house, i'd pay a professional. if i had an investment property for buy to let then i'd definitely do it again, except worktops!

Looks like you had a tight space, just like we did, to work with.
Definite add some colour - too much white will soon look grubby.
We've gone for white in www.theupsidedownhouse.9f.com but no pics as yet. & our splashback is glass mosaic purple n mauve tiles from B&Q, with pink wall area above.
Sounds yuk, but ....wait n see!!

but what colour would go with whats already there? any ideas? i cant think of one that sticks out and says 'i go with white, oak and matt black'0

Choose a colour from something else in the room - maybe red, if you had a red kettle, or anything else that you could compliment it.
For other ideas, Goolge images search 'white kitchens' see millions of what others have done!!

I saw a lovely black and white kitchen in a brochure with a bright red wall behind. The fashion is for a really, really matt paint finish. Also, wallpaper in the kitchen is a new trend! The kitchen in our new house will be cream and applewood (it's all stacked in the dining room but I need every trade in first!) and I think I'm going to have a hint of matt black peeking through from some walls to match my sparkly worktops.

Anything will go with those colours though. Pick one you like!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
