Posts and thank yous

On forum responses there is a bit of blurb below the user stating:
Number of posts:
Thanked x times in y posts
Would it be possible to include forum users top posts below these statistics perhaps using the title of the post.
Some thoughts
Granted it may be a fair bit more processing
Could go in signature strip or thank you strip.
But should consider how well thank yous relate to the usefulness of a post especially in relation to advice. A large number of thank yous are probably a pretty good indication a smaller number less so.
I notice some 'Money Saving Newbies' accumulate quite a large number of thank yous but there is no way of finding out what the post is.
What would happen to posts past their 'sell by date'? Some are more time sensitive than others. What would be a reasonable time limit and how would you reinstate a post that is useful in the longer term short of stressing out volunteers?
Prone to misuse?

If you click on the posters user name, you will get a drop down box, one of the choices is, "Find all thanked posts by *********"
