Freeview not working

I've just bought myself a new freeview recorder for the main tv and thought I would put the old freeview box upstairs on my old tv/video combi.
I've set up the new one and it's fine but I'm having no luck with the upstairs tv. It is an old set and doesn't have a scart lead so I've simply connected it via the aerial cable (aerial to freeview, freeview to tv). I've tried re-tuning the tv but it can't find the freeview signal at all.
Am I doing something wrong?

is there a setting somewhere in the freeview box of what UHF channel it send out the signal on...
maybe hook it back to the downstairs tv, and see the setting... if it is a really old tv, it might be slightly out of range, and needs tweaking a bit..
(did that make sense?)

Thanks. But I've managed to sort it out now.0

Excellent, what was the problem?
I was going to say that some freeview boxes only pass through signals from the aerial and don't add in the freebox output signal as well but not the case for you it appears.I beep for Robins - Beep Beep
