I read somewhere that when you have any level of vista on a laptop it does not have all the functions available when using vista on a pc is this true? It said it was because of space and cooling reasons
Thanx

I've not heard that before. There are several versions of Vista (too many i think) but not laptop specific ones. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
There are 3 versions of vista for the home. None of which are laptop specific.
Vista Basic, Premium and ultimate. To find out which version you have, open the start menu and type in the search box 'anytime' without the '. Click the Windows Anytime upgrade icon. In the righthand corner of the page it says the version of windows you have.0 -
you should be able to find the version of Vista you are using by the following:
start menu
select run
type winver
press enter.
The computer should display a box with details of your operating system.0 -
Some aesthetic aspects of Vista (e.g. Aero) may not work on a PC (laptop or otherwise) that doesn't have a powerful enough graphics card.0
