Firstly I just wanted to say posting yesterday was a very couragious thing for you to do, it took guts and I admire your honesty. I also want to say there is light at the end of the tunnel, hopefully now you can see that. You have made that first step by telling your gran and look how it turned out, much better than you had expected. There is not a problem that cannot be resolved someway, and everyone here on MSE are here to help any way they can. Things looked bleak yesterday but thats now in the past and the past shouldn't be dwelled on. We have all done things we are not proud of your not alone but we can't let that take a hold of us. Your young and i'm sure you have a very bright, shining future ahead of you. Your gran is obviously a fantastic lady and with her help i'm sure you will pull through this. As the earlier posters said seek help from your doctor for your depression the more helping hands the better. I would also advise seeing a councellor if you feel you could open up, they are non judgemental and its suprising how venting your problems out loud can help.
Take care

Hi and Welcome
Just stumbled across your post and was frantically reading to find where you had posted again.
As lots of others have said the past is in the past and we cant change it. Someone very wise once told me that its the past (especially the bad bits) that mould us into the great people we will become in the future.
Im sure it is a great relief to have told your Granma, look at it like this.........today is the first day of the rest of your life, today is the day you are taking control!
You should check out some posts about making extra income, little things like getting paid for clicks, mystery shopping. Not only will they give you a focus but perhaps you could keep your Grandma updated with the totals, etc. I bet she would be really proud to see you focusing your energies on something.
Most importantly though please keep posting, this place has become my lifeline over the past few weeks!

Well done for telling your gran, I think it's wonderful that she knew but had decided to give you a chance to own up and you've repaid that trust by doing just that, please keep us posted about how you're feeling
Have you thought about signing up to any of the suvey sites? There are a few around that you can fill in surveys or do daily clicks, takes a little while to build up a decent amount but I for one have had 3 £10 vouchers from a site called www.valuedopinions.co.uk so might be worth you having a look ion there. Plenty of others out there that people will have links for
Are you still having problems with drugs or is that all in the past now?

Well done for telling your Grandma - I was going to say yesterday -are you sure she doesn't have her suspicions? I am glad you felt able to tell her and she sounds absolutely fantastic. I have no doubt she will be a great support to you.
Is there anything you like doing. I think anything that gets you out and about will help you feel better. I know that my depression gets worse when i am sitting at home all day and the thoughts in your head get out of control and you dwell on things. Just wondering whether volunteering for old people/gardening/at a vets etc might be worth doing- just to get out of your head so to speak. You would not want to let them down so would have an incentive to cut down on the alcohol/drugs etc?
What about exercise? going to the gym/running/swimming etc?
Do you have any pets / know anyone with any pets. Knowing that the animal will love you faithfully no matter what as long as you feed/water/exercise them no matter what you have said/done in the past has helped a lot of people.
I would definitely keep a diary - either on here or in private as well - detailing every little small step you take. You might not notice the change in you overnight but I bet if you try and do one small thing everyday to improve your life you will read back over it in a month and think - wow I have achieved an awful lot.
Also think maybe crafting knitting/crochetting/cross stitching/card making/scrapbooking whatever might give you something to do and take your mind off things.
P.S I am not saying that these things will magically sort everything out but they may be worth trying in addition to getting some proper help.
You have made a fantastic start. Stick with it and things will get better. Good LuckMaking my money go further with MSE :j
