I have bt.yahoo email ( talk21) address that i dont wish to change but i dont think my spam blocker is working as i would like it to.
My " bulk" folder does a good job and takes my ??? emails fine but i get 100 s in there that take time to delete. I have set my spam folder to delete & block email addresses that i select but some still keep appearing again. Viagra, Ocean finance Rolex watches etc etc..... I go away quite a lot so when i have to come back to 100 s in my bulk file it is a pain.
Does anyone have any idea of what i can do as also it says that it will only block 100 email adresses!
I have read aboout spam blockers but as i am a member of a local freecycle group i do get many emails to my inbox from unknown people and still want to accept these.
????? Thanks.

You may want to think longer term and get different email accounts and addresses. Blocking email addresses is frankly pointless. Spammers rarely use their own address and in many cases it's someone completely innocent, although the chances those people legitimately want to contact you is very small, all you're doing is simply blacklisting email addresses that never sent you the spam in the first place. I personally could send you 200 emails each appearing from a unique email address, so you can see why blocking email addresses isn't in the least bit effective. I'd check your settings to see if there's anything you can do with your spam filter settings. My personal preference is that if an address starts attracting spam I dump the address. Although I do give out unique email addresses to every company, e.g. moneysavingexpert@suethedriver.co.uk. You could do something similar with gmail account, e.g. suethedriver+moneysavingexpert@gmail.com"She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

My vote for redirecting the address to a Gmail/Googlemail account. I have found the spam filtering there is excellent.0

I'm also with bt.
If you are confident that nothing legit is going into spam, I would ijust gnore it - it will be deleted after a month anyway.
I have just retired my bt email address of several years, as the damage was already done and I was getting 30 spam mails a day. Towards the end the spam filter was getting poorer and they started to get through. My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0
