    Hi everyone

I went into my local boots today to use the £5 number 7 voucher, and the sales assistant gave me a leaflet about a special beauty evening Thursday 12th June 6pm-8pm and it says enjoy our complimentary refreshments, enter our free prize draw and take away free goodies to try at home. Also 500 points with any 2 cosmetic purchases.

Not sure if this is a nationwide event??

Has the NC bag 'glitch' been fixed?? - got the 99p mask and 2 bags but the bags didn't scan for free.............

also tried the no7 wipes with the voucher but the till bleeped - so left it.

I bought the No7 Perfect Light Pressed powder today (haven't tried it yet). I was going to get the Perfect Light Loose Powder, but it was insanely hard to open. I couldn't open it, the first SA couldn't open it (and said she got complaints from customers about it), another SA was called over, who couldn't open it, and a third was called over who finally did. I decided to go with the compact instead, lol. I also noted that the Natural Collection loose powder was easy to open and only 1.99 (far cheaper than the No7 even after the coupon), so I may try that later.

I also saw that at one of my boots the pink gwp from months ago has resurfaced, you get it with a 20 spend! Cheeky, lol. The SA there also told me that I *had* to checkout at her register and had to use my Boots card. I know both statements are untrue, but said nothing and just let her have the stuff. The SAs don't realize some of their customers are Bootsing experts, and it's hard to fool us, lol.

I had it the other day when it beeped for me and had to be overidden, they then basically void off one of the items and put it through as £0.00 and this then doesnt let the till take the extra off for the 2 for £9 offer.
This is regarding the Model Me stuff isn't it? Well the same thing happened to me too, the till beeped and the guy serving me said some amazingly high amount which I queoried. Then I explained nicely about the fact my ACM voucher should remove the styling product so he hummed and ahhed then removed just the second bit, so no Link Saving for me that day! Have tried again since, with slightly different products and it worked. (think it was Helena Cond and Helena Vit Spray when it worked). Very satisfying when the till says -1.98 after taking off the styling product and the Link Saving kicks in. Tested by daughter (fussy 15 yr old) who says after using Helena S'poo and Jamelia Con that her hair is 'well cool'. :D

I've also found that the 250 ACM points voucher (when you buy Botanics 3 min conditioner, which is also BOGOF so 2 x Botanics for £5 + 250 points back ;) )almost always has to be added manually so if the SA says this wont work, make sure you point out that you do have the product and therefore would like your points please. :rotfl:

My NC bag scanned at £4.99 today so someone is watching us! Soon put it back, they're ok but not worth £5!

At last I found some reduced Soap & Glory. Ages ago (before I was a proper Bootster) I bought the S & G Jam Sessions for a £5 when it was on a 342 promotion. My daughter loves it so I was thrilled to find a Jam Sessions reduced to £1.25 today.

The ACM has recently been giving me some half price offers on Med Bergamot and Olive oil bath stuff. You can apparently get the small bottle for £1 instead of £2. Well I noticed today that the larger bottle of the same stuff had been reduced to £1.25 so that is now residing on my bath. :D

The No 7 £5 voucher will not work against the face wipes. I tried again today so now I officially give up. Works on the Shine Control stuff that you put under your foundation tho', was worried it might be classed as skin care but its not. Stocked up on eyeshadows, eyeshadow brushes and blusher brushes.
The loose powder (the impossible to open one! ;) ) is another thing I have treated myself to. I found it really hard to open until my husband showed me the knack, apparently you have to twist it slightly to the right as you attempt to pull it off. I have managed it a couple of times but since my right hand is a bit dodgy anyway (early onset of arthritis - woe is me. ) I do struggle. I looked at the creme puff things (looks similar to my Clinique superpowder stuff) so I may have to visit again! Talking of Clinique, those eyeliners that everyone was struggling to remove, the Clinique take the day off for lashes etc is excellent for this! Found a bottle hiding upstairs so it's now my most useful thing again.
  • I've been very naughty today and have visited 4 different Boots and did 3 shops. I'm sure if I was a pro my points gain could of been much higher, but I enjoyed it none the less.

On my first shop I bought...

Sun Bites 29p with 1/2 price voucher from ACM
Model Me Shampoo and got the free styling product offer from the ACM - Think I've been charged a total of £3.01 for purchasing both of these. Does that sound right?
Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Plucker gift set (3 glosses in a box) £4.38 Originally £17.50!
And this Botanics gift set hero.jpgfor £3.75. It's £15 online and was £15 in one of the stores I went into today. I'm not sure how to link it so you can click on it, sorry.

Total spend was £11.43 and I got 72 points back, which I thought was a bit rubbish?

    Second shop
3x King of Shaves (On offer for 3 for 2) £3.27 each
Sunbites (1/2 Price voucher from ACM) £0.29
    Meal Deal £2.99
Model Me Condition and styling product (Free styling product voucher from ACM. Again, think this cost me £3.01)
Lee Stafford Mini Dehumidifier spray (Again, after reading the recommendation on here! £1.75
    1x Glossy Locks spray £5.75
1x Lip and Eye screen (Free as No7 sun products BOGOF)
1x Hand Saviour, after reading all the recommendations for this on here! £10.50
    1x Lady's GWP Free

Total spend 31.91 (Only £21.91 really, as I had a gift voucher. That's what I'm telling myself anyway!)
    Total points 1084
These were for 84 regular points
350 points when you buy No7 bathing
200 points wyb No7 sun care
    200 points wys £25
250 points when you spend £30

I didn't realise that the total spend vouchers could be used together. I did it by accident this morning as I just handed them everything I had :o

    Third Shop
    Memory card £3.75
No7 So Strong Nail Care £1.25

    Total Spend: £5
    Total Points: 750!

Used 500 points wyb any memory card
£5 off No7 cosmetics email voucher

I was well chuffed with this! :D

I now have 7316 points in total, which isn't bad as I only started paying attention to how I earn my points about 2 months ago. Probably less than that! So a BIG BIG THANK YOU to all of you who mention glitches and special offers so we can maximise our points!

The Soap and Glory Blueberry Thrill body butters had been reduced further to £2.38  in two of the Boots I went in. Of course the shelves were empty though! One of the stores also had the Mediterranean/Amazon Forest wicker basket gift set from Christmas reduced to £12.50.
