Buying a shower .. need help

Ive never had to buy a shower before so am looking for some opinions on best makes to go for ..
also i know some run off the hot and cold taps dont they? ...
like i said and as you can probably tell im a complet novice! ... ive got around £200 to spend so any help advice tips would be brilliant on what the best sort would be to go for

Need a few more details....
Are you looking for an electric shower or not?
If not, what boiler and system do you have, combi or gravity fed?
Whats the water pressure like?
If you are replacing one, then looking for the same make and similar model sould minimise alteration costs.0 -
As we always have a tank of hot water available, we were advised to go for a 'Powershower' .... "no point in heating hot water" the installer said.
We bought a thermostatically controlled one from Homebase for about £150 - has worked perfectly from day one.
Loads to choose from via google ...
