Help! I dropped my laptop......

My poor little laptop has gone through the wars in its short life.
Basically I dropped it quite a while back and its now missing a number of screws on the front and it opens up most of the way along the front of the casing. It still works, in fact i'm typing from it now, but I know I should get it fixed as it doesnt deserve to be poorly anymore.
Also the hinge on the right side of the screen is cracked -(I didnt cause that one!) and the left one is going the same way.
I was going to take it to pc world but after reading a bit on here it seems that they arent the best.
So my question is, is it worth repairing it, or should I just get a new one and treat it better?
If its worth repairing can anyone reccomend anyone around the croydon area who will be able to sort it out, i've done a little google search and its left me even more confused.
Any help would be most appreciated!

if its just casing damage then try getting a knackered one off ebay and swapping out the case.
if you arent comfortable doing this yourself (you suggested pc world, so im guessing not) then try local independent shops or your local newspaper classifieds/gumtree
but yeah, i would suggest taking more care of your laptop in future. i've owned 4 laptops in the last 10 years, and i have *never* dropped one or spilt my drink on it and all of them are still working!
its not difficult to look after, and it means you dont have costly repair bills

Thanks, i'm not that good with stuff like that and have a fear of making things worse than they were before!
I'm going to try and find someone who can look at it next week, and hope for the best!

if the laptop isn't under warranty, PC world don't repair laptops...0

If you have a friendly local PC shop (ie not PC World) they may be able to sell/give you a handful of screws to replace the ones that are missing. I know the screws on my laptop kept falling out until I Loctited them in!
And the crack around the screen hinge should just be on the plastic covering. The metal hinge itself is probably fine, so it's just cosmetic. If it's bothering you, you could use some Araldite to stick it back together. I've done this on mine as well. It'll still look a bit manky, but it should hold it together.0
