Jsut wanted to know if people find it good for their dog? I took Bruno on an all day walk yesterday and the little monster was still bouncing off the walls when we got home.

:) . We use a kong frisbee to tire our lab out. It folds up nicely to fit in back pockets etc (although when I say "nicely" I'm not taking into account all the dog slobber).

Not sure if JRs are big on retrieving though. Plus don't throw it into water as it sinks like a stone :D .

Its basically retrieving a ball and going over a series of jumps. Normally you find its shepard type dogs that do it...not sure if they do mini classes for little dogs. I think they need to be highly trainable in order to do it, and over a year old so as not to put stress on the joints.

    Thanks peeps

I was jsut wondering because Bruno although hes still doing training - hes doing well - he is getting good at ignoring other dogs now, 'leave' command is better (unless its a toy he wants) and he will recall but he still gets a bit distracted if other dogs are about and playing (he wants to join in) but think thats more me being weary and nervous incase the other dog isnt friendly or he has a relapse and wants to play so i tend to keep him on an extended lead.

He was introduced to my friends dog yesterday though and it went well so he has a new walk buddy now so we are traingin them together now.

Just needing a bit more stimulation for him because he is so hyper but wasnt sure if that was a good idea or not. Wonder if agility might be more his things.

    Hi

My dog used to do flyball, 4 jumps there, get ball, four jumps back. When we started he was fenced in so he had to jump (did it in stages), need lots of good treats so he associates bringing the ball back with treats, my dog used to run past me on occasion to try to get to the other dogs though, give them a ring, small dogs do it as well. Also easier to start then agility (less waiting list).
