Potterton Suprima Boiler - No hot water again!

A long shot I know but is anyone out there knowledgeable about these boilers? It is a Potterton Suprima 80L
My problem is that the central heating etc works fine. The hot water, however, doesn't heat up at all. When I turn it on using the wall panel, the red light stays on(not a lock out) and nothing happens, no noise, no anything. It's like the temperature is already what it should be.
What's confused me more though is that the small temperature knob on the boiler unit it turned up and when I turn it down I hear the "click" noise which indicates the current temperature - very low!
Thanks in advance!

Download the manual for your particular model variation from here and you will find a fault finding guide. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Hi... external control problem i.e. programmer, cylinder stat, motorised valve are possible culprits.

Thanks for both of those. Looks like it is the valve so nothing I can fix. Now to test the water of the local plumbers!
Cheers

Not sure if any help, but I had to call out Homeserve for my boiler which is the same make/model and no hot water.
He had to replace the sensor as the central heating was shutting off also.0
