Mcafee Products

A tip for users of Mcafee products.

Whilst I hate to promote this as a way of making a good saving, I would encourage all users of Mcafee products to buy from Mcafee.com and not Mcafee.co.uk

The simple reasoning behind this is because the "Prices" for all products on both websites are the same.

However, there is a SUBSTANTIAL difference between $49.99 and £49.99.

My virus subscription expired about 2 weeks ago, a new virusscan product was $39.99, but because I was an old subscriber I was invited to renew for $34.99, knowing the way the US works with customer service, I've cottoned on that if you DON'T renew, they will come back to you with a further discount - which is exactly what has happened! Today I got a further $5 off my subscription, meaning I renewed at $29.99 - in GBP, that's about £16.

There is obviously a small risk regarding being on the internet for 2 weeks without a virus product, but as long as you are careful with what you open you should be ok.

Alternatively use a free trial virus product until the offer to renew at a further discounted rate comes through from Mcafee.

Cheers
Dan

Is Macfee any good? At the moment I am using Pc-cillin internet security 12 and it is due for renewal this month. I have seen them being sold on e-bay for much cheaper. Pc-cillin is actually selling at £19.99 including postage and Macfee much cheaper. I am considering changing to Macfee as I do not wish to buy a download with Trend micro again. I will not be able to transfer it if I buy a new PC. I have already got the Pc-cillin Internet security 12 and am wondering if anybody knows whether when my subscription expires, I could buy one from the people who are selling on e-bay? I would rather have a physical one than a download. Thanks
