Train Heathrow to Leeds/Bradford
Options
We will be arriving into Heathrow in October and need to get to Leeds or Bradford. Can anyone suggest a train...where it goes from and possibly the cost. we travelled up from Southampton last year on Virgin trains and it was a horric journey. No seat available and packed to the nines. I cannot understand how a country can allow this to happen from the safety alone point.

Tube to Kings Cross, NXEC train to Leeds, local train to Bradford
See https://www.nationalexpresseastcoast.com/ for trains - book from Kings Cross about 8-10 weeks in advance to get the best price which should be around £150 -
From heathrow you would have to go all the way into central london for the train - you might be better off getting a coach from heathrow - it would take about 6 hours though and cost around £35I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080

Boondy, will this be a single or return journey?
Do be aware that if you book one of the cheapie tickets you will have no cover should your flight be delayed, and will have to pay for a full price ticket.
A flexible period return ticket from Heathrow to Bradford (saver return) is £114.90 and total journey will be about four hours. A one-way flexible ticket is £97.40. This ticket includes everything (i.e. Heathrow Express to Paddington, the London Underground Pad to Kings Cross, and any operator from London Kings Cross to Bradford (usually changing at Leeds, but some direct) and the price also includes Leeds to Bradford by local train).
Note this price is valid from Heathrow T5 at 08:27 until 13:27 and after 08:12; if you arrive Heathrow and want to go earlier than that (leaving Heathrow T5 at 05:27, 06:27 06:57 and 07:57, or from 14:27 until 17:12) it would be £123.50 single. This is because of a peak time restriction on the line from London Kings Cross to Peterborough. This is Monday-Friday only - weekends the cheaper ticket is valid all day. You _should_ be able to purchase this ticket at the ticket office at Heathrow, or alternatively purchase it in advance from any station or website.0
