Thanks guys, i was told at the time that i was 'making the dumbest move of my life' much like rabidog said.
LynsayO thanks for the advise and reply it means so much as you are/were going through the same kind of situation-good luck!! I will take on board your advise, thanks so much.
You definately all have the right attitude!-i think i lost it for too long when i was **afted by my friend? who immediately asked me for a loan and subsequently dropped me like a brick on refusal.
Setmefree2 thanks for your advise-definately got some food for thought now-As you collectively say 'You've got to keep looking forward to what you can influence not back to what has been'!-
    Onwards and upwards! :j
Sounds a bit like an Oscars speech-i must be coming back to life-humour ! when earlier it was  !! Thanks once again.

I agree - best decision was to sell when you did when you probably got a good price! You can look forward to finding your own home with the proceeds at some time in the future. Best wishes.

LyndsayO you suggest a safe place to invest, with inflation, staflation, deflation, recession etc etc, any ideas apart from savings accounts?

Dweller, renting out a house in a estate which is in a downward spiral could have caused you no end of headaches. An ex of mine did this back in the mid 90s and the final straw was when parts of the central heating were stolen! He decided to cut his losses and sell.

Thanks!! i've been feeling so dumb for so long, it feels great to know that my instincts were right maybe after all-i had bad feelings along the lines of the central heating comment with the 'types' i could have rented to as no-one else would step foot in the area. Thanks to Notisis for your best wishes!

Cut back to the options you had.

Did you want to live in the area (probably not)

Did you want to become a landlord (probably not)

    Job done.
  • You did what was right for you at the time and that is the only thing that is important

You thought about it, made a decision and moved on

What would have been much worse was not making a decision and hangin on

Well done i say , you made the right decision
