They are absolutly usless one hand doesnt know what the other hand is doing, and as for the staff you get three different answers to the same question. They dont let you know whats going on you have to ring all the time to find out whats going on and they dont know they havnt a clue.
They arranged for my meter to be read and i stayed in all day and thedidnt turn up made another appointment and this time turned up read the meter, i rang after a fortnight to find out whats what and they had lost the reading, enough is enough i have had it with them.

Not rocket science, you stayed in all day for them to read yr meter? No chance of you reading it!
  • Hi, yeah turn everything off and meter stops, turn it on and the dial spins!
  • Ive had an ongoing dispute with EDF/Npower since october 2005 - and its still not sorted.
The energy ombudsman has been involved, and its still not sorted - theyve even had to go back to EDF and theyve had to repoen the ombudsman claim.
to say EDF are incompetent is an understatement. Ive not paid any gas or electric since April 2006, because they cant send me an accurate bill!!!!

That must be a record for a complaint.
  • Had my first bill from npower for 6 months, swapped from bg where i was in credit as npower came and told me they are cheaper.
On dual fuel savings and pay dd my bill from nov 1st 07 until17th june was
    £896.62.
I live in a 70's 3 bed semi with my wife we work all day i do shifts and have the heating on in the eve and set for morning when we wake up no more than 5/6 hours a day in winter and completely off in summer is this about right for 6 months, i have family where 4 adults live in one house and 2 of them are oap and there all day and feel the cold even there bill was £212 on gas and about £80 on electric.
Not sure what to do now as they have told me wait until summer months it will decrease, im not happy about this as it wont go down 500 pound so my dd will increase to cover that then increase even more to cover winter again otherwise it will be same scenario. worked out it will be about 200 per month for both.
