Halifax free interest loophole

Meant to post this a while back but forgot, so might have changed slightly.

Had all my savings with halifax and when I got my interest through I was shocked at the drop in interest from the previous year.

Decided to setup another web saver account to pay off my mortgage early and was surprised to see that my new web saver account was offering 1.14% higher interest!!!!!! :eek:

So I moved all my saving into the new one I just opened. Guess I'll be much better off next year.

Have a look. Think how much free interest you could be missing out on for 5mins work.

Have you moved into the one with the bonus until 18th July this year?

If so, you'll be looking for something else in a month.

I cant remember to be honest as it was a few weeks ago.

Even if I only get 2 months extra interest rates, it was still worth it

What's the point creating a new thread if you don't know what it was you signed up to! You make it sound as though the interest rate comes from a raffle.

You've opened a 'with card' Websaver which has a bonus rate which has almost finished (terminates 18 July). If you want a decent interest rate - move your savings out of Halifax. Their current Websaver rates (even with the nearly expired bonus) are abysmal.
